Game Preview: Warriors at Nuggets - 4/9/12
  • LAST TIME OUT
The Nuggets threatened a fourth-quarter comeback but the Warriors responded with a 15-2 run of their own in Saturday's 112-97 win at Oracle Arena. Brandon Rush punctuated that game-clinching run with back-to-back 3-pointers and finished the night with a team-high 20 points. David Lee scored 17 and grabbed nine boards while Nate Robinson added in 14 with seven assists off the bench. FULL GAME RECAP

  • WARRIORS VS. NUGGETS
The second Warriors-Nuggets matchup in three days will take place on Monday night in Denver. The contest will close out the season series between the two teams, and the Warriors will be looking to sweep the season series. With two victories already against Denver, the Warriors have won their first season series with the Nuggets since the 2002-03 season.

  • SPREADING THE WEALTH
The Warriors had seven players who scored in double figures on Saturday night, and the team shot 52.3 percent from the field. The Warriors are now tied for second in the NBA with 16 games shooting at least 50 percent, and they are 9-7 in those contests.

  • CONTINUED PRODUCTION FROM DAVID LEE
David Lee had 17 points and nine rebounds on Saturday night, but the solid night actually snapped a career-high tying streak of seven-consecutive games with at least 20 points. Lee averaged 26.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists during that stretch, and he continues to be among the league leaders among NBA power forwards in scoring (fifth), rebounds (seventh), assists (fifth) and field goal percentage (tied for seventh).

  • ROOKIES APLENTY
The Warriors are one of the youngest teams in the NBA. The team has five rookies on its roster, which is tied with Houston for the most in the league. Futhermore, three of those first-year players (Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler) have been mainstays in the starting lineup over the last few weeks.
