Williams, Lee Try Their Luck At Ice Fishing
Getting into the spirit of the Minnesota Muskies promotion this winter, Timberwolves rookies Derrick Williams and Malcolm Lee tried their luck at ice fishing this winter on Lake Waconia. Neither Williams, who grew up enjoying fishing in California, nor Lee had ever ice fished before. From walking on the ice to drilling a hole, the experience was new and exciting.
Lee took photos and videos for Twitter, while the two enjoyed using technology to track and catch fish on the lake. During the day, Lee and Williams had a friendly competition to see who could catch the most fish.
Jimmy Mase of the In Towne Marina came along with Williams and Lee and helped them with their angling.
“We had lot of fun today,” Williams said. “We were there for three hours and caught 14 fish in three hours. That’s not bad.
“It was a fun experience and we’ll be back.”
