BEST GAME OF THE SEASON

Dec. 10 at L.A. Lakers. In a rivalry game that remained close throughout, Morris proved to be the difference by scoring 22 points on just 13 shots off the bench. The performance highlighted the best of Morris from the season – efficient, game-changing scoring opposing reserves simply couldn’t match.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR

OFFSEASON GOAL

Work on being more decisive when he gets the ball, whether it’s to shoot or pass. When he holds the rock on the wing, the offensive possession becomes an isolation set for Morris. Unfortunately he only shot 31.5 percent from the field in isolations this season, per Synergy Sports.

Those shooting clips jump up considerably in quicker-moving scenarios, including spot-up shots (42.2 percent), transition baskets (45.5 percent) and cuts to the basket (69.4 percent).

HEARD FROM HORNACEK

“He had that [midrange ability] in college. He’s developed the outside game, the deep three, since he’s been in the pros. That’s kind of his strength.”
