Suns Organization Receives Twelve Emmy Awards
SunsLockerRoom.com won one of 12 Emmys for the Phoenix Suns in 2008.

The Phoenix Suns organization, along with partnered advertising agencies, were honored with 12 Emmy awards by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a banquet on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa.

The Suns received the Live Sporting Event/Game Award for their live broadcast of the Phoenix Suns 40th Anniversary, which was produced by the Suns Productions team of Bob Adlhoch and David Hughes. Adlhoch also received an award for his live directing on FSN Arizona.

The team’s social network, PlanetOrange.net produced by Jeramie McPeek won the award for Advanced Media. McPeek was also awarded for the writing and producing of the virtual locker room site, SunsLockerRoom.com along with Daniel Banks.

The Lavidge Company, a partnered advertising agency, received five awards for material produced for the Suns based on ideas developed in collaboration between Chief Creative Officer, Bob Case, and Suns Vice President of Game Entertainment Kip Helt. Awards included best Short Form and best New Media Writer/Producer for their production of the Phoenix Suns in-arena open. Other awards included best New Media Commercial for the Phoenix Suns YouTube teaser and best New Media Animator for their boiler room animation reel.

Founded in 1955, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. The Academy recognizes excellence with the coveted Emmy Award, the most prestigious peer-judged award in television.

The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences includes the states of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming.
