NETS-WIZARDS NOTEBOOK
TURNING POINT: The Wizards never led, but the absence of Nene and Trevor Booker, both listed as day-to-day and then removed from the lineup due to plantar fasciitis, might have doomed the Wizards before the game even started. The Wizards lacked any sort of formidable interior presence – aside from a few nice moments from Kevin Seraphin – and the Nets committed only 13 fouls, well below the league average. Still, missing seven straight shots to start the game, as the Wizards did in falling behind 5-0, wasn’t a good sign.

ROOKIE WATCH: For the Nets, MarShon Brooks, who saw some time at backup point guard, was a terror in transition at times, including one slick ball fake on the break, tallying 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Jordan Williams was perfect from the field (7-7 FGs, career-high 14 points).

NETS NOTES Deron Williams' double-double was his 19th of the season...The Nets shot a season-high .563 (45-80) from the field, besting a .531 showing against the Rockets on March 10....The Nets, 10-6 when scoring at least 100 points, have won three of their last four home games and four of six overall.

On what keeps him in "point guard-mode":

"Sub(stitutions). That sub horn'll calm you down. It'll calm you down after a while. The main thing for me at the point guard position is just staying poised, just make the easy play."
