Voices In The News
Following the Lakers 142-94 loss vs. the Clippers, coach Mike D'Antoni and some of the players addressed the media:
D'Antoni on the game:
“In the first quarter, I thought we played really well, then we took a body blow, and it looked like it just took us to our knees. We took it from the second group, not their first group, and for whatever reason, we couldn’t make shots, we couldn’t finish plays, we couldn’t do anything. The air went out big time, they smelled blood in the water and they killed us."
Pau Gasol on how the game changed:
“Turnovers, not getting back defensively, and not moving the ball enough. We did not create plays for each other, and that is how it started to fall apart.”
