Jazz Announces 2012-13 Training Camp Schedule and Open Scrimmage

Utah to hold camp in Salt Lake City for fourth straight season; Open Scrimmage will take place October 6 at EnergySolutions Arena

SALT LAKE CITY (September 26, 2012) – In preparation for the 2012-13 season, the Utah Jazz will open its training camp on October 2 at Zions Bank Basketball Center, marking the fourth straight season the Jazz will hold camp in Salt Lake City. Training camp will culminate with the Jazz’s annual open scrimmage on Saturday, October 6 at 4 p.m. MT at EnergySolutions Arena. The free event is open to the public (no tickets required) and will mark Jazz fans’ first chance to see the 2012-13 edition of the team, including returning Jazzmen Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward, as well as new additions Marvin Williams, Mo Williams and Randy Foye.

Jazz training camp, which begins one day following the team’s annual Media Day, will begin with two-a-day practice sessions on both Tuesday, October 2 and Wednesday, October 3, with a single practice held the morning of Thursday, October 4, and two more practices on Friday, October 5.
