Good times were in the air, charity was in the hearts, and tennis shoes were on the soles of those who attended the 8th annual Leapin’ Leaners & Lowtops charity gala. The black-tie event drew several hundred Jazz fans who spent an evening of food and fun with their favorite Jazz players and coaches, all in the name of supporting a worthy cause, Larry H. Miller Charities. Never before have fans had such close, personal contact with their favorite Jazz stars. Besides eating dinner with a player or coach, everyone in attendance had the opportunity to challenge a player with a shooting contest (or even a game of ping-pong), pose for a photo or get an autograph. Adding to the festivities, silent and live auctions were held, giving fans the opportunity to bid on hard-to-acquire sports memorabilia. Obviously, the night was memorable for all involved, but a greater purpose was served as thousands of dollars were raised for Larry H. Miller Charities. The charitable arm of the LHM organization, Larry H. Miller Charities focuses on youth and children’s issues with the emphasis on health and education, and each dollar made at the event goes directly to charitable works. The Jazz and LHM Charities would like to thank all those who attended Leapin’ Leaners and Low Tops and helped make the evening a memorable one. |
