Theres a new face of hunger in our community, said Natalie Jayroe, President and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank. Among the growing ranks of Louisianas hungry are citizens who, before now, never needed the services of a food bank to help feed their families. The struggling economy has created an unprecedented need for emergency food assistance. Food drives are a critical source of donated food for Second Harvest Food Bank and we are extremely grateful to our New Orleans Hornets and the fans for their generosity and support.

The Hornets game against the Kings will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. The Buzz Fest pre-game block party starts at 5:30 p.m. and will feature live music by DJ Raj Smoove, $1 beers, Miller Lite STH Beer Garden and interactive games for the entire family.

Tickets for opening night are still available at Hornets.com, by calling 1-800-4NBATIX, 504-525-HOOP, at the New Orleans Arena box office or at all TicketMaster outlets.
